Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981, and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since 2011 She was one of the co-artistic directors for Speech of Fire. While Artistic Director of SSC she was also the costume and set designer for the production, as well as music director, composer and coach for text. For her last year, she was a director and lighting designer for the production of SSC's King Lear. She had directed from the ensemble but in this last year made her directorial debut.
